Potty learning can become confusing when everyone is trying to help, but each person uses different words, different reminders and a different response to accidents.
One adult asks constantly. Another waits for a signal. Childcare has its own routine. Meanwhile, your child is learning several separate skills: noticing an urge, reaching the bathroom, managing clothes, sitting comfortably and asking for help.
The Potty Learning Consistency System brings those moving parts into one shared plan.
Its six stage pathway starts with readiness and comfort, then helps you build a routine, practise manageable skills and respond calmly when things do not go to plan. Eight printable tools turn the guidance into something caregivers can use together.
The aim is not a perfect week or a race to remove nappies. It is a clearer routine, less guesswork and a respectful approach that can adjust as your child learns.

How to use it
- Start with readiness and comfort. Read the opening guidance and complete the readiness profile. Consider your child’s communication, body awareness, bathroom access and the support your household can realistically provide. Address pain or other health concerns with a qualified professional.
- Make the bathroom setup manageable. Prepare a stable potty or suitable toilet setup, supported feet, easy to manage clothing and handwashing supplies. Choose the simple words everyone will use.
- Choose a small, repeatable routine. Select one or two predictable practice opportunities that fit your day. Use the bathroom sequence as a reminder without turning every few minutes into another potty prompt.
- Practise one skill at a time. Your child may need help reaching the bathroom, managing clothes, sitting comfortably, communicating or washing hands. Use the help ladder to offer the support needed for that particular step.
- Give caregivers the same plan. Complete the shared family plan and childcare handoff. Agree on practical support and calm wording for accidents so your child encounters a familiar response.
- Notice patterns and review. Use the seven day tracker to record what happens without treating accidents as failures. At the review point, decide whether to continue, simplify, pause or seek professional advice. Seven days is a chance to review the approach, not a deadline for your child.
Important limits
- This product provides general education and practical routine support. It does not diagnose or treat constipation, urinary problems, continence conditions, pain or developmental differences.
- It does not promise toilet independence within three days, seven days or any fixed period. Daytime learning and nighttime dryness may develop differently.
- The approach does not use punishment, shame, forced sitting or withholding comfort. It does not provide medication, laxative or medical treatment instructions.
- Speak with a qualified healthcare professional if your child experiences painful toileting, hard stools, repeated withholding, blood, urinary discomfort, frequent soiling or concerning changes in previously established skills. Seek urgent local medical help if your child is acutely unwell.
- Individual medical advice takes priority over this guide. Children with additional developmental, communication or physical support needs may benefit from an individually adapted plan.
- Keep completed trackers and bathroom information private. Share only the information needed by people directly supporting your child.
Questions parents ask
Who is this guide for?
It is for parents and caregivers supporting toddlers and young children with potty learning. It helps you consider readiness, create a manageable routine and agree on a consistent approach. It does not prescribe one starting age or require every child to learn in the same way.
Is this a three-day or seven-day potty-training programme?
No. There is no fixed completion deadline. The seven-day reset gives adults a simple way to observe patterns and review their approach. Your child’s progress may take longer, and the plan allows you to simplify or pause when needed.
Can we use it if we have already started potty training?
Yes. You can use the shared plan, caregiver scripts and tracker to make an existing routine clearer and more consistent. Start with the part that feels difficult rather than restarting everything. Pain, withholding or concerning regression should be discussed with a qualified healthcare professional.
What files will I receive, and do I need to print everything?
You will receive the complete 29-page guide in two PDF sizes: A4 and US Letter. Both contain the same content, including eight printable tools. Read the guide on a phone, tablet or computer, and print only the tools you want to use. This is a digital product; no physical book is shipped.
Does the guide treat constipation or stool withholding?
No. It helps you notice and record useful information, but it does not diagnose a problem or provide treatment. Constipation, painful toileting and repeated withholding need appropriate professional advice. Use any individual medical plan your child has been given.
Can I share it with my child’s nursery or another caregiver?
You may share completed handoff information with people directly caring for your child. The purchase is for personal household use. It does not permit distributing the complete original files to other households, publicly uploading them, reselling them or using them in paid services without written permission
Is this a subscription?
No. This product is a one-time purchase. It does not include recurring charges, individual coaching or a membership.
